Isle of Man Aerospace Cluster
The Isle of Man is host to one of the most agile and dynamic clusters of aerospace and engineering companies in and around the UK region. Established in 2006, the Cluster is a joint initiative by the Isle of Man Department of Economic Development and the island's Chamber of Commerce. Working in collaboration with the UK’s North West Aerospace Alliance, it is directly linked to one of Europe's largest and most proactive Aerospace Clusters.
The aerospace industry in the Isle of Man has been thriving for over 60 years. Today we have 18 companies who have a direct customer order book related to aerospace design, manufacture or service provision and between these companies they employ over 1,000 highly skilled personnel.
Companies considering relocating their operation to the Isle of Man, will be pleased to learn that it offers an unrivalled lifestyle and scored the highest ever rating polled by MORI as a place to live: 93% of residents were either happy or very happy with the Isle of Man as a place to live. This is unsurprising when the Isle of Man offers short commuting times, diverse career opportunities, low personal taxes, low crime rate and an inclusive culture.
